Under United Nations peacekeeping initiative, a four-member Mobile Training Team from Bangladesh Army has been conducting a six-week Pre-Deployment Training at Gambia Armed Forces Training School since 13 October 2025.
A total of 250 officers and soldiers from Gambian Armed Forces are participating in the training.
Under the supervision of Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT), the primary objective of this program is to prepare the Gambian Quick Reaction Force (QRF) for joint deployment with the Bangladesh Army contingent in UN peacekeeping missions. The training includes Core Pre-deployment Training Materials (CPTM), Specialized Training Materials for UNIBAT (STM-UNIBAT), and Field Training Exercises (FTX).
This training initiative reflects Bangladesh’s strong commitment to enhance the capabilities of partner nations in global peacekeeping. This is also an undeniable testament to the professionalism of the Bangladesh Army. It will further strengthen the friendly and professional ties between Bangladesh and Gambia. The training program will continue until 21 November 2025.
