27,905 students remain absent on 3rd day of SSC & equivalent exams

 A total of 27,905 examinees were absent, while 93 were expelled on the third day of the SSC and equivalent exams across the country.

The information was reveled today through a press release signed by Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Chairman and Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers’ Committee President Professor Dr Khandaker Ehasanul Kabir.

Ehasanul Kabir said the SSC examinations, which began across the country on April 10 under tight security, are being conducted in a peaceful environment nationwide.

He hoped that the next exams will also be held in a peaceful environment also.

This year, on the third day of the SSC examination, 347,958 candidates were supposed to appear in 438 centers under the Dhaka Board, but 344,002 candidates participated in the exams meaning 3,956 candidates remained absent in the examinations.

A total of 1,69,388 candidates took part in the SSC exams under Rajshahi Education Board out of 1,71,273 examinees. A total of 1,885 candidates were absent.

In Cumilla Education Board, 150,392 examinees were present in the SSC exam out of 1,52,192 candidates. A total of 1,800 candidates were absent while thirteen examinees were expelled in this board.

A total of 133,174 examinees took part in the SSC exam under the Jashore Education Board out of 135,238 candidates. A total of 2,064 candidates were absent while two students were expelled.
